CH-2 is the natural evolution of its major brother CH-1.
This original chorus effect offers a high quality modulation engine, and many other original features: one of these
is the practical user interface, which allows the user to obtain thousands of different sound configurations.

The XY screen gives the user total control over every couple of parameters,
representing the generated wet voices in a bidimensional screen.
This kind of representation helps the user to visually place each sound source, and
to have in mind the reciprocal relationships between the voices parameters.

The user can choose the number of voices to be generated by the modulation engine.
Each wet voice is represented in the XY screen in relation to the currently
selected couple of parameters.
There are four sets of automatizable parameters:
- Pan and Volume
By positioning the voices in the screen, you actually place the single voices in the stereo
field and assign them a certain volume.
In this panel you can act on the dry signal, too.
- Delay and Shape
The initial delay controls the amount of time every generated voice is delayed by,
respect to the dry signal. The shape tells what curve is being used by the LFO
to modulate a particular voice.
- Depth and Rate
The depth parameter controls how much a voice is modulated by the LFO, while
the rate parameter tells how fast the modulation occurs. These two parameters
are strictly related each other: you can play with the XY screen and automate
interesting bi-dimensional transitions.
- Phase Control
Every voice has two kinds of phase parameters which can be controlled by the LFO.
The voice phase controls the amount of time shifting in the modulation curve, and
affects the relationship between the wet voices.
The stereo phase permits to change the modulation phase between the stereo channels
of a single voice, in order to control the width of the effect.

Chorus CH-2 allows full parameter tuning. You can achieve a wide range of effects,
from the classic to the odd ones, simply playing with the XY screen and dragging a voice,
or a group of voices.
You can both drag a single voice by clicking on it and dragging, or select a group of voices.
This can be made in two ways: you can use the Vox select buttons or ctrl-click the
voices you want to move.
Then just drag the selected group while keeping the ctrl key pressed.
Having full control of every single generated voice means you can design your own chorus
configuration, by assigning every wet source a particular timbre and position in the output mix.

You can choose the number of generated voices:
these ones will be available in the XY screen for fine tweaking.
Voices which aren't generated will show up as disabled in the Vox select
strip (as shown in the figure above).

Imagine you are working on a single, dry, voice track: you may want to add some rich and varied
chorus.
With CH-2 you just decide how many voices to add to the original one, and then you simply locate
every of them in a different position of the XY screen.
You may want to hide a bit the central voices, while pushing the volume of the ones you panned hard,
to get a surrounding effect.

To make the chorus sound original and realistic, try the random button;
you can try it with the delay parameter, for example, to obtain a random delay
for every generated chorus voice.

Every singer may have his characteristic modulation depth and rate: a little
difference among the voices, is sufficient to enhance the quality of the chorus effect and to make it
sound more natural.

Detailed tweaking
While, in classic chorus effects, setting a parameter (such as modulation depth)
influences every voice equally, in CH-2 you can give every wet source some slight
difference to make it sound natural and varied.

Then you can play with phases in order to obtain a more varied and natural sound.

Chorus CH-2 supports full automation reading/writing: try to record automation while moving
the voices in the XY screen, then watch them going around in the panel during reproduction!

You have always full control of the stereo width: in certain situations you may want to recreate
a mono configuration, which still sounds rich and natural.

Parameter changes are interpolated for smooth and click-free editing.

Changing the LFO shape resets the oscillator: this way you are able to sync the effect using
automation.
